This project was created for the purposes of a class assignment. The brand/client is entirely fictional.
Responsibilities: Copywriting/Research, Print/Layout, Supplementary Materials
The Problem
Despite being an important part of visual history, graphic designers are often absent from art history education and gallery settings. Students studying design (as well as any interested teachers, designers, and community members) need access to an informative and engaging event dedicated exclusively to graphic design in order to strengthen their understanding of the field and its rich history.
Target Audience
Graphic Design Game Changers is a lecture series that strives to educate college art students (specifically designers), art instructors, art historians, and art aficionados about key designers from different eras and backgrounds.
Communication Goal
The goal of Graphic Design Game Changers is to showcase key designers and their work, starting with Cipe Pineles. Visually, my primary goal is to get people interested in attending the lecture, educate viewers about Cipe Pineles, and allude to her style.
Components
Event Flyer
Digital & Printable Ticket
Informative Zine
Event Flyer
The flyer hints at Cipe's aesthetic through images of her work and stylistic elements reminiscent of her work. This is meant to give viewers a glimpse of what they can expect from the lecture, since many have likely never heard of Cipe.
Digital and Printable Tickets
The digital ticket is convenient for students who carry their phone with them at all times, while the printable ticket is a simple and functional option for older attendees who do not own smart phones.
Informative Zine
The zine is designed to reinforce topics covered in the lecture and provide a visual aid that gives viewers a better idea of Cipe's work and style.
